Single Place Reminder
In order to help defray the cost of gasoline when car
pooling, it has always been a Single Place custom for
riders to offer the driver a mutually agreed upon
donation, dependant upon miles driven, parking fees, etc.

Saturday, June 21, 3pm
Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea
We
will attend the AFTERNOON PERFORMANCE OF Jeff Daniels newest
play, Panhandle Slim & the Oklahoma Kid, a western comedy
in which an outlaw meets up with a singing cowboy. After the
play, those who wish may have dinner at either the Common
Grille or across the street at Cleary’s Pub both in
downtown Chelsea. Cost of the ticket is $30, payable in advance
at Single Place. Dinner on your own. Car
pool
leaves from Starbucks promptly at 2pm. Drivers will be
reimbursed $8 from each passenger to cover the cost of gas.

Amish Country Weekend in Indiana
Cost
will be approximately $75 or less for 2 nights stay with 2
breakfasts included. All other meals and activities at your own
expense. Stay two nights in a beautiful Bed & Breakfast -
located near Goshen, Indiana. See pictures at Single Place.
Queen or King bed (2 persons to a bed), bathrooms attached to
rooms. We have a suite reserved for private socializing -
however we have reserved ALL the rooms in the building (more
rooms available in adjoining building if needed.) Horse drawn
buggy rides and catch and release fishing pond on the
beautifully landscaped property. Within 15 miles - the villages
of Shipshewana, Elkhart, Nappanee, Middlebury and Wakarusa.,
quaint shops, antiques, cheese shops, quilts, folk art, crafts,
handcrafted furniture baked goods, and the Elkhart Country Fair,
just to name a few of the things you will be able to do. Call

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER, Courtesy and
Consideration
We are
far too lax when it comes to signing up for Single Place
activities and parties. Many of us are simply just showing up
without signing up or calling the proper person ahead of time.
Courtesy is required here. Most of the Single Place activities
are scheduled far in advance for a reason. First, so you can
plan your personal calendar and second, so the coordinator or
hostess will know how many people to plan for, to make
reservations for, how many tickets to buy etc. So please try to
remember your manners and sign up or call if you wish to attend.
Also, the same principle applies if you need to cancel out of
anything. Try to do so as soon as possible. It is not a good
reflection on our group and embarrassing to the coordinator when
too many or too few people show up at a restaurant or gathering.

newsletter. To continue receiving the Single Place Newsletter
complete card and return to Single Place with your check ASAP.
Starting with the September 2008 Newsletter we will be sending
only to those who have returned their cards!
